About Me

A glimpse into the career path of writing.

I wanted to share a bit about my professional journey and how I found myself falling into the world of technical writing.

I began my career as a train operator, where I spent my days navigating trains and ensuring smooth operations on the tracks. This role gave me a solid understanding of the intricacies of field operations and the importance of clear, effective communication within such a high-stakes environment.

After some time, I transitioned into a communication coordinator role. In this position, I worked closely with various teams, enhancing communication strategies and managing information flow between departments. This experience honed my ability to distill complex technical details into digestible formats that were accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences. I also learned to bridge gaps between the field and office teams, ensuring that everyone had the information they needed to make informed decisions.

Eventually, my evolving skill set naturally led me to a role as a technical writer. In this capacity, I now serve as a key point of communication between the field and information systems, ensuring that the technical aspects of operations are clearly documented and accessible to everyone involved. My background in both the operational and communication sides of the business has allowed me to effectively bridge the gap between complex field knowledge and the technical documentation that drives decision-making and operational success.

Looking back, each phase of my career has built upon the last, and technical writing has felt like a natural progression—a combination of my love for clear communication and my deep understanding of how operations work on the ground.

I’m excited to continue this journey and contribute to creating seamless communication and documentation that supports both technical and operational success.
